Begin Again – Lost Stars

  1. Begin Again is a 2013 Hollywood movie directed by John Carney, where 2 musicians revive their careers with each other’s help.
  2.  Gretta (Keira Knightley), a singer-songwriter, goes to a bar behind her musician boyfriend, Dave (Adam Levine), after a fight. There she meets a failed music producer Dan (Mark Ruffalo). They both create some music on the streets of New York and sell it online for 1 dollar.
  3. There are many forms of love, and one could be seen here. Though 2 people with the same interests randomly met and helped each other grow, they never really fell in love with each even if they could. As an audience, you get what you don’t expect.
  4.  Fame, money and power are something that runs over relationships, no matter how old it is. One moment of selfishness is enough to change the complete equation. The world is a sick place, mostly, and our brain gets influenced by the same.
  5.  It is glad to see that there are musicians who still make music to satisfy their passion and not their lavishness. Many have gone bankrupt, like 50-cent, after losing money on vices. Maintaining that high position is more difficult than reaching it.
  6.  New York is such a picturesque place where every building and every lane has something to tell. The most amazing part of the movie was the different locations that were used to record a song. That’s the most “jugaadu” thing you will ever see.
  7.  The acting by the cast was really good, and the songs were just beautiful. Depending on the characters, your perception of an actor changes. With every good movie, you become a fan, and with a mix of good and mediocre ones, the actor loses a fan.
  8.  In this universe, everything happens for a reason. No matter how bad or good your life gets, it was destined to happen. People come and go, but memories and experiences live on forever, and that is what makes a human relationship so magical.
  9.  A critically acclaimed movie, that did well at the box office.
  10.  A one-time watch and I liked it.
