Oppenheimer – EGO BOMB

  1. Oppenheimer is a 2023 English movie directed by Christopher Nolan that talks about the atomic bomb and the communist USA and, above all, politics.
  2. Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy) is able to deliver the atomic bomb to the US government, which is used later on to end the war. As the purpose is fulfilled, he advises the government to not indulge in any more bomb production. This offends the authority, and they try to demean Oppenheimer in public by branding him a communist. Years later, the same government, upon realising their mistake, honours him with an award.
  3. The movie made a lot of hype before its release but did not stand up to that. For me, the Dark Knight series is still the best Nolan movie out there. There is no problem with it being long, but less action and more dialogue made it less entertaining.
  4. Maybe the Japanese would have gotten offended if the bombing was shown, but by just showing the testing part, you killed our hopes about the movie, Nolan. A Japanese version could have solved this problem, thus giving us more entertainment.
  5. The first half of the first half was where you could find things happening that make you intrigued. Then comes long dialogues and the unwanted romantic side. Replacing the love scenes with more science-related scenes involving various scientists and experiments would have been better.
  6. The ego is such a big thing that has changed the world upside down with many wars and whatnot. Oppenheimer had to face the wrath of the government and other senior officials just because he chose peace instead of becoming a superpower.
  7. Communism used to be the arch-nemesis of Capitalism, but the situation has changed with both of them working hand in hand in many regions. USA, the biggest enemy of communism see the communists as some backward class but are unable to erase it from their land still.
  8. The acting, direction, cinematography and music were just as usual, the Nolan level. Action, yes, that was missing otherwise, it could have been a masterpiece. Revise your science, or you will be welcomed by some lullaby time.
  9. A critically acclaimed movie that has been doing very well at the box office.
  10. A one-time watch and I liked it.
